months alone, the narcotics squad has broken up 11 drug smuggling syndicates, arrested 290
offenders, and seized 224,000 drug pills, 1.2 kg of drug powder, and 28.5 kg of heroin.
- Air transport
joint-venture established in Laos (Vietnam NA) --The joint-venture company has
an investment capital of USD 950,000, to which Laos contributed five percent; Russia, 81

Thailand told Laos on Wednesday it would not allow the extradition of 11 Thai members of
an armed group that attacked a Laotian border post two years ago, a move likely to test
